TALENT FESTIVAL 4.0 KICK STARTS WITH FIRST STAGE AUDITIONS
Talent Festival is an annual talent development project launched in 2022 by Teenagers Care for Sustainable Development Initiative. The aim is to:
- Provide a safe space and atmosphere for adolescents to showcase their uniqueness through their talents
- Advocate emphasis on talent development amongst adolescents
- Help teenagers discover their talents and guide them to use them correctly and
- Mentor adolescents to become changemakers through productive investment of their talents.
The project has so far mentored and produced close to 100 adolescents who have discovered their talents and are currently engaging them for more mentorship and useful use. This year’s Talent Festival which is tagged TALENT FESTIVAL 4.0 with the theme, “Beyond Talents” not only seeks to help adolescents discover their uniqueness through talent, but also emphasize the area of training, education and proper investment. Also, the year’s project which is competitive for the first time, will see the winner go home with a grand prize of One hundred thousand naira (N100,000) worth of educational scholarship.
This year’s project kickstarted on Wednesday the 1st of October, 2025. Over 120 individuals gathered at the TFI Teens Hub where the first set of auditions was to take place. The participants who came as individuals or as groups, received briefing from TFI Officials on what is required and how to conduct themselves before the judges before proceeding with their registration and subsequent auditioning.
Each participant was given opportunity to go in and perform before the judges and share their experience with our media team at the end of their performance. At the end of the day, 60 contestants successfully made it through to the next stage of the auditions.
TFI plans to organize an in-between mentorship class for all participants to get to meet with coaches who are experts in their various talents and offer them mentorship before the next stage of their auditions.
