ADEKE WOMEN CHARGES ADOLESCENTS TO SHUN SOCIAL VICES
The monthly mentorship forum for adolescents for the month of July, witnessed the visitation of participants of Project Leading Change organized by Teenagers Care for Sustainable Development Initiative in partnership with Nigeria Women Trust Fund (NWTF). The mentorship forum which held on the 27th of July 2025, had over 40 teenagers in attendance.
Speaking during the mentorship forum, the women group sensitized the adolescents on various topics such as leadership, social vices and their consequences, and self-awareness and self-esteem with different speakers speaking on the above topics.
The women urged adolescents to begin seeing themselves as leaders of tomorrow, shun social vices such as cultism, internet fraud, risky sexual behaviors and pre-marital sex. They urged participants not to bow to peer pressure but build positive values and promote healthy habits that will enable them live responsibly in the society.
The sensitization also witnessed question and answer sessions from participants to the group of women.
