PROJECT SAGE GBV STAKE HOLDER ENGAGEMENT – NIGERIA POLICE FORCE GENDER DESK

February 6 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Teenagers Care for Sustainable Development Initiative (TCSDI) in collaboration with Nigerian Women Trust Fund is committed to building safer communities where women and girls can live free from violence and fear.
Through our SAGE-GBV Project (Strengthening Advocacy for Women and Girls Empowerment against Gender Based Violence), we are actively sensitizing women on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), their rights, and the available survival pathways and support systems.
As part of this effort, we paid a strategic advocacy visit to the Gender Desk of the Nigeria Police Force, where we met with DSP Helen to discuss partnership and collaboration. The engagement focused on strengthening response systems, encouraging reporting, and ensuring survivors receive the protection and justice they deserve.
We believe that ending GBV requires strong collaboration between civil society, law enforcement, and the community. Together, we can amplify awareness, improve access to support services, and create a culture where violence is not tolerated.
We appreciate DSP Helen and the Nigeria Police Force Gender Desk for their warm reception and willingness to partner with us in advancing this critical cause.
Let’s continue to speak up, support survivors, and stand united against Gender-Based Violence.
