COMMENCING PROJECT SAGE-GBV

We officially kick-started our Project SAGE-GBV on Saturday, the 17th January, 2025 with training of Enumerators to carry out our baseline survey.
Project SAGE-GBV (Strengthening Advocacy for Girls and Women Empowerment against Gender-based Violence) is a GBV-focused initiative in partnership with Nigerian Women Trust Fund, aimed at raising awareness, strengthening capacity of women leaders in women-led organizations and promoting access to justice and support for survivors of GBV, especially adolescent girls and women.
The project which will run for 4 months, begins with a baseline survey on women’s perception of the impact of GBV on women’s participation in leadership.
After the design and validation of the survey questionnaires, about 10 enumerators were recruited and trained on how to gather data from the field. Currently we are receiving these questionnaires and soon we will analyze and present our findings.
