On 26/07/2023, the Teenagers Care for Sustainable Development Initiative (TFI) paid a courtesy visit to the National Human Rights Commission, Benue State, to strengthen collaboration. The TFI team presented its vision, mission, and programs, appealing for partnership in training, materials, volunteer facilitation, and referrals. The State Coordinator, Mr. Tyover Joshua Aondotindi, welcomed the team, commended their advocacy for teenagers, and outlined the Commission’s role in rights protection, prosecution, and interventions, particularly in vulnerable communities. He encouraged TFI to extend its advocacy beyond schools to rural areas where rights abuses, especially against girls, are prevalent. The visit concluded with exchange of materials and group photographs, laying the groundwork for future partnerships in training, referrals, and rights-focused project design.
