SUMMARY:Report on Get-It-Right School Campaign to Trinity Model College
DESCRIPTION:On 19/10/2022\, from 8:00am to 5:00pm (UTC+0)\, TFI held its Get-It-Right campaign at Trinity Model College\, Makurdi\, reaching 213 students with seven facilitators. Sessions covered adolescent changes\, peer pressure\, social vices\, and pre-marital sex using interactive storytelling. Students asked questions on teen pregnancy\, abortion\, and pre-marital sex myths\, which facilitators addressed. Despite challenges such as lack of electricity\, poor projection\, and no counsellor present\, the program was impactful and included counselling\, sharing of handbills and gifts\, and announcements for mentorship and talent events. SUMMARY:Talent Festival: Skill and Talent Development Bootcamp
DESCRIPTION:From 31/08/2023 to 02/09/2023\, TFI held a three-day Bootcamp at Methodist High School\, Makurdi\, to mentor teenagers in talents and teach entrepreneurship skills. Participants received lectures on agriculture\, hands-on training in cosmetology\, hair making\, shoe making\, baking\, and soap production\, as well as coaching in music\, arts\, drama\, dance\, rap\, and spoken word. The event helped teenagers discover their gifts\, gain mentorship\, and acquire practical skills. \nChallenges included inadequate coaches\, poor publicity\, weak planning\, and limited facilitator participation\, though volunteers and emergency measures helped manage them.
